November 2017 – Epilepsy Awareness Month

The Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii is celebrating Epilepsy Awareness Month this November and holds many events throughout the month. Epilepsy Awareness Month gives supporters a chance to raise awareness and show their support for this cause that effects 15,000 individuals living in Hawaii!

If you can’t make an event near you, wear PURPLE to help spread #epilepsyawareness throughout Hawaii.

I ALOHA Someone Living with Epilepsy Conference        November 4, 2017 – Queen’s Conference Center

Join us for a day of epilepsy education, enrichment and inspiring stories.

This FREE Community Conference invites you, family, friends, organizations and anyone impacted by seizures to learn about current issues regarding epilepsy, connect with others and be inspired by those living with epilepsy. This conference is geared towards increasing community awareness and  understanding of relevant issues in epilepsy. It is an excellent way for individuals living with epilepsy to to learn more about their epilepsy and meet others who share similar experiences.

Sign Waving at the Capitol – November 9, 2017 from 4-6pm

UPDATE: Sign Waving at the Capitol has been RESCHEDULED to Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4-6pm.

Due to circumstances out of our control, our previous sign waving day has been rescheduled to Thursday, November 9, 2017. We hope you can still join us to spread #epilepsyawareness in front of the State Capitol building on Berentania Street. We will be sign waving to all folks during the evening rush hour from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. We have snacks and water and lots of signs! Feel free to create your own signs and bring it!!
